Mrs. McCollum is
a graduate of Emporia State University,
with 36 years of teaching experience. She
has been at Carbondale for 19 years,
teaching 6th grade for part of that time.
She became a National Board Certified
Teacher in 1998.
In her free time, she reads, plays the
piano, and writes children's books. She is
not yet published.
Students in Mrs.
McCollum's class will have homework Monday through
Thursday. There is no homework given on Fridays.
Students are graded for participating and doing
their daily work and homework the best that they
can. Assistance is given as it is needed on
Monday's through Thursday's work. Tests over what
was studied that week are given on
Fridays.
