Update: Early Enrollment for the 2026–2027 School Year

As previously shared in early May, we have updated our enrollment process for the upcoming 2026–2027 school year.
In the past, families had to wait for the annual PowerSchool "rollover" before securing their spot for the next year. To make things easier and more convenient for our families, we are now opening early enrollment for all returning and new to district students.
Please see the requirements below to complete your student's enrollment for the upcoming school year:

Phase 1: Enrollment (NOW)

The enrollment platform is officially live for both returning students and new in-district students.

For New In-District Students: Please note that proof of residence is required. You will need to provide one of the following documents, which must clearly show the parent or legal guardian's name:
  • Lease agreement
  • Mortgage statement
  • Recent utility bill
  • Property tax receipt
How to Get Started
  1. Where to go: Log in to your PowerSchool Parent Portal.
  2. What to do: Click the Forms link and complete all forms listed on that page.
We Listened to Your Feedback! To make this process smoother, we reviewed every single question and removed any unnecessary steps. This year’s enrollment forms are considerably shorter and much faster to complete.
Need Assistance?
  • For simple fixes (like password resets): Please email enrollment@usd434.us.
  • For additional or in-person support: Contact your child’s school office directly to schedule an appointment.
Note: If you already completed this process when we sent the initial notice in May, you are all set! You do not need to do anything else until we send out further communication regarding Phase 2.

Phase 2: Fees & Final Updates (Coming SOON)

In early July, we will send out a follow-up communication regarding the final step of the process. This will include:
  • Free and Reduced Lunch applications.
  • Fee information and payment links.
  • Updated handbooks and district policies.
  • Information Updates: If your address, phone number, or transportation needs change over the summer, you will be able to resubmit your forms at this time.
