COVID-19 GUIDELINE CLARIFICATION January 18 2022
The following is clarification on the New COVID-19 Guidelines that were released on Friday January 14, 2022. KDHE has specified that using these new guidelines must be administered with other mitigations in place. In order to support a shortened isolation period and modified quarantine at school, we have a mask mandate in place alongside a test to stay policy. These mitigations allow us to return students and staff as quickly and safely as possible. We are testing less often but will continue this mitigation to protect our students and staff from exposure to COVID-19. If your student is experiencing symptoms we are able to test them with parent/guardian consent.
Please refer to the KDHE guidelines that were released on Friday in Mr. Lentz’s newsletter.
KDHE and the Osage Co. Health Department has instituted New Quarantine Guidelines. Our district is adopting the new guidelines immediately. These new guidelines can be found at this link. https://bit.ly/3tJhpmj. The new guidelines are less restrictive for isolation and quarantine.
